Internships at Foundation

We are looking for a razor sharp marketing & social media gurus to join our team of nightlife professionals. If you have a passion for dance music, event production, and creating unforgettable experiences, then this is for you!


At Foundation Nightclub, we strive to foster a culture of collaborative innovation. As an intern you will often be working in a team setting with leadership as well as your peers, but don’t be afraid to make your voice heard! At the end of your time with us, we hope you walk away feeling as though you left your mark on the company. The program aims to assist you in building a broad set of skills and prepare you for future leadership roles managing multiple, complex tasks related to the fields of marketing and business development.


There are 2 positions available:

Digital Marketing Intern – (15-20 hours a week.)

What you’ll be doing:

  • Coordinate, schedule, and execute Foundation’s Social Media Strategy under
the guidance of the Marketing Director.
  • Research music and write content for Facebook, Twitter, and other networks.
  • Write content and craft messaging for emailer, website and other media.
  • Brainstorm & help coordinate outreach programs.
  • Research new avenues of marketing according to industry trends.
  • Prep show announces and maintain website.
  • Live-tweet & Instagram events.
  • Learn and apply best practices for SEO.
  • Perform other duties as requested.


Marketing & Business Development Intern – (15-20 hours a week.)

What you’ll be doing:

  • Engaging with marketing team on a regular basis to brainstorm ideas for new and innovative marketing campaigns.
  • Research market activity and investigate how to target new customer opportunities.
  • Assist with designing and executing sales and marketing campaigns.
  • Support the development of new and innovative marketing collateral.
  • Research, identify, and negotiate partnerships with businesses that can enhance Foundation’s customer base.
  • Assist in marketing and public relations projects with outside vendors/partners.
  • Maintain good business relations through professionalism in all functions of customer service.
  • Perform other duties as requested.


Ideal Candidates:

  • Be a rising junior, senior, recent college graduate, or graduate student.
  • Business, Marketing, Public Relations, Advertising, or Communications major.
  • We are looking for dependable candidates with media savvy and superb writing skills.
  • Must have excellent verbal communication skills & technological skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Google+ preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Passion for electronic dance music and news surrounding the industry.
  • Own a laptop and smartphone. (Mac & iOS Preferred.)
  • While we work in a party environment, candidates must be proactive, responsible, able to act appropriately with our high profile artists and uphold strict policy of non-disclosure.



This is a 6 month unpaid internship. All internships are part-time (10-15 hours a week) and flexible between the hours of 10am-7pm. Interns must be able to report to the USC Events office by Century Link Field a minimum of 2 times a week. Other work can be completed from flexible locations. This internship holds the option for renewal or hire at the end of the 6 months.

  • Access and guest list privileges to all Foundation shows.
  • Bar tab privileges.
  • Tickets to USC Events standalone shows.
  • A wealth of knowledge and experience to further your career.

3. Brainstorm 1 or 2 innovative marketing campaigns on how a Nightclub can increase the reach of their customer base to attract newer EDM fans. Write 1-2 paragraphs on your ideas.
